Reviewed 10 October 2026 by the PMK team. Planning a Hell’s Gate visit in 2026 or 2027? Start with the entry fee, then allow for cycling, bicycle hire, transport and any guided activity you choose. A clear quote helps you enjoy the landscapes near Naivasha without finding unexpected extras on the day.
Hell’s Gate National Park entry fees
The following prices are from the published KWS conservation tariff. They are the current planning baseline, not a newly announced 2027 tariff. Reconfirm charges for your travel dates before booking.
| Visitor category | Adult | Child |
|---|---|---|
| East African citizen | KSh 500 | KSh 250 |
| Kenya resident | KSh 675 | KSh 350 |
| Nonresident | USD 50 | USD 25 |
| African citizen outside East Africa | USD 20 | USD 10 |
The KWS child category covers ages five through seventeen. Carry proof of age and nationality or residence. Confirm arrangements for younger children. A daily fee covers a single access lasting no more than 24 hours; ask how exits and reentry affect your visit.
Cycling and guided activity charges
The published cycling charge is KSh 300 per day for East African citizens and residents, or USD 10 for African citizens and nonresidents, excluding conservation entry fees. Bicycle hire is a separate cost. Ask for the bike condition, helmet arrangements, hire duration and what your guide fee includes.
KWS security guided tour charges are KSh 2,000 per ranger for up to four hours or KSh 4,000 per ranger for more than four hours, per group, with a minimum of two rangers where required. These are not automatically the price of a local cycling guide. Confirm the service and any additional charges before booking.
Vehicle entry fees
| Vehicle seating capacity | Daily charge |
|---|---|
| Fewer than six seats | KSh 600 |
| Six to twelve seats | KSh 1,500 |
| Thirteen to twenty four seats | KSh 3,000 |
| Twenty five to forty four seats | KSh 4,500 |
| Forty five seats or more | KSh 5,000 |
Classification follows the vehicle’s seating capacity, not how many guests happen to be travelling. The PMK team will confirm the allocated vehicle and its applicable category.
Choose the visit around your interests
Tell us whether you want a relaxed scenic visit, cycling or a more active day. We can explain the pace, transport and costs so you choose what suits your group. Walking routes, gorge access and climbing must be checked with park staff for current permissions, conditions and safety requirements. They should not be assumed to be available on every departure.
If you want to combine Hell’s Gate with other destinations, explore our five day Naivasha, Nakuru and Masai Mara safari. Ask which Naivasha activities are included and which are optional.
Payment and planning for 2027
Use the official KWS eCitizen payment portal and keep your ticket and identification ready. For a PMK package, we will explain whether park payments are included and arranged for you.
For 2027 bookings, request a dated quote showing park entry, vehicle, guide, bike hire and optional activities separately. Charges and availability can change before travel.
