Planning a Lake Nakuru safari? Start with the park entry charge, then allow for your vehicle, transport and accommodation. An entry ticket alone does not include a guided safari.
Lake Nakuru National Park entry fees 2026 and 2027
The entry figures below follow the published Kenya Wildlife Service rates checked on 31 October 2026. For a trip in 2027, confirm the applicable tariff before paying. These are current planning figures, not a separately announced 2027 price list.
| Visitor category | Adult | Child |
|---|---|---|
| East African citizen | KSh 1,500 | KSh 750 |
| Kenya resident | KSh 2,025 | KSh 1,050 |

Would you prefer us to arrange the whole visit? Tell PMK your dates and group size, and we can quote for transport, a guide and the park visit with the inclusions clearly explained.
Combine Lake Nakuru with the Masai Mara
Our 4 day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari combines the two destinations in one itinerary. Read the daily programme and ask us to confirm accommodation and inclusions for your dates.
What will your visit cost in total?
For two nonresident adults, the entry charge is USD 180. Your vehicle charge is additional. Keep these amounts in their original currencies when budgeting, rather than assuming an exchange rate.
A safari quotation should explain whether it covers Nairobi pickup, your driver and guide, meals, accommodation and extra activities. When comparing quotations, check the inclusions as well as the headline price.
Vehicle Charges (Per Vehicle Per Day)
The vehicle charges below are retained planning figures. Confirm the current KWS tariff and your vehicle category before paying.
| Vehicle Category | Fee (KSH) |
|---|---|
| Less than 6 seats | Ksh 600 |
| 6โ12 seats | Ksh 1,500 |
| 13โ24 seats | Ksh 3,000 |
| 25โ44 seats | Ksh 4,500 |
| 45 seats and above | Ksh 5,000 |
Vehicle charges follow the vehicleโs seating capacity, not the number of guests on a particular departure. A vehicle with six to twelve seats falls in the KSh 1,500 category. Ask the PMK team to confirm the category for your allocated vehicle; do not assume every van or Land Cruiser qualifies for the under six seat rate.
Guided Tour / Security Fees
The official KWS eCitizen Lake Nakuru page lists the following security guided tour charges, checked on 31 October 2026. Confirm availability and arrangements with KWS before booking.
| Duration | Fee (KSH) |
|---|---|
| Up to 4 hours | Ksh 2,000 |
| Over 4 hours | Ksh 4,000 |
