A Kenya safari and beach holiday combines wildlife time with a slower finish beside the Indian Ocean. Start with your available nights, then decide how much time belongs in the parks and how much at the coast. How many nights should go to safari and beach?

Begin with the part you care about most. If wildlife is the priority, protect several mornings at your safari bases. If relaxation matters equally, leave a meaningful block of coast nights rather than a single night between transfers.

Ten days normally means nine nights. The existing ten-day package uses five safari nights and four Diani nights. Adding a Nairobi arrival or departure night changes the allocation or total duration; it should not be silently squeezed into the same plan.

Fly, travel by road or include the SGR?

Compare the complete transfer, not only the flight or train time. The published ten-day package includes an Emali SGR connection in its outline. Confirm the current service, station transfers, luggage arrangements and onward journey to the booked Diani hotel in your dated proposal.

A flight-assisted alternative may reduce selected road sections but adds airfares, baggage limits, airstrip transfers and connection requirements. Do not assume a direct safari-airstrip-to-coast flight operates on every date. Ask PMK to show the actual connections before choosing.

What determines the price?

Dates, party size, park visits, room category and transport all affect the total. Use the package’s current price information as a starting point, then request a dated quote. The honeymoon ideas are tailored proposals, not the same fixed-price offer.

Check the safari meal plan separately from the coast meal plan. A beach resort on bed and breakfast, half board, full board or all-inclusive terms represents a different set of inclusions. Room service, drinks, spa treatments, marine excursions and special dinners should be identified explicitly.

Choose the combination around your people

For honeymooners: discuss privacy, room preferences and time together. Romantic extras need confirmation rather than being assumed from the holiday name. Compare the honeymoon collection.

For families: confirm room occupancy, children’s ages, suitable transfer days and activity restrictions. A family room and nearby separate rooms are different arrangements, both subject to availability.

For first-time visitors: choose a route you will enjoy at its actual pace. A well-placed camp and enough nights can matter more than an extra park.
