Choose a private road safari with your own driver-guide. Discuss shorter drives, meal stops and breaks before setting out each day, within park rules and your itinerary.
We check occupancy, bedding and the exact room type with each property. Tell us whether you prefer sharing, connecting rooms or separate rooms nearby.
More nights in one place can mean less packing and more downtime. We explain the transfer days, then help you decide what to keep and what to leave for another visit.
Three ways to begin
These are suggested private itineraries, not fixed departures. We adapt the route and accommodation after learning your children’s ages, travel dates and total family budget.

Start with the people, then the parks
Share the ages your children will be when you travel, your preferred month and the experience you have in mind. We’ll suggest suitable routes, accommodation choices and clear pricing within 24 hours.
We will confirm room arrangements and activity eligibility with the providers before you book. A family room, connecting door or children’s programme is not guaranteed until it appears in your confirmed arrangements.
Picture your journey
4 days / 3 nights
1 Nairobi · 2 Masai Mara
Day 1: arrive and rest in Nairobi. Day 2: road transfer to the Mara, with a drive if arrival time allows. Day 3: a full day for wildlife, with breaks agreed with your guide. Day 4: return to Nairobi; onward flight connections must be checked.
The road journey uses a substantial part of days 2 and 4. Add a night in the Mara if you prefer more downtime.
7 days / 6 nights
1 Nairobi · 2 Amboseli · 1 Naivasha · 2 Masai Mara
Day 1: Nairobi arrival. Days 2–3: travel to Amboseli and explore from one base. Day 4: road transfer to Lake Naivasha. Day 5: travel to the Mara. Day 6: wildlife viewing at your family’s pace. Day 7: return to Nairobi.
Amboseli–Naivasha and Naivasha–Mara are transfer days. A boat ride is an optional request, not an assumed inclusion; adding nights makes this route more relaxed.
10 days / 9 nights
1 Nairobi · 3 Masai Mara · 5 Diani
Day 1: Nairobi arrival. Day 2: transfer to the Mara. Days 3–4: game drives and camp downtime. Day 5: travel to Diani using the flight and transfer arrangements in your quote. Days 6–9: beach days. Day 10: departure transfer.
Domestic flight schedules, connections and baggage allowances are checked before confirmation. Water activities and children’s clubs are not automatically included.
Before choosing a camp or lodge, discuss room layout, bathroom access, meal times, any pool supervision requirements and what the property offers children of your family’s ages.
On an unfenced wildlife property, follow staff instructions and the property’s escort and supervision arrangements. Ask about these before confirming your stay.

Space for everyone
These examples help you picture the room arrangements we can request. Your proposal confirms the property, room category, bedding and occupancy for your children’s ages. Availability is checked for your dates.
Masai Mara · 4, 7 or 10-day ideas
The camp describes family tents connected by a private lounge: an option to explore when you want separate sleeping spaces with somewhere to gather together.
We check the exact family tent, permitted occupancy and child-sharing rate before quoting.
Ask about a Mara family tent →Amboseli · 7-day idea
The lodge lists double, twin and triple rooms. We can discuss a triple configuration or request nearby rooms, depending on your family size and the lodge’s occupancy rules.
Nearby rooms are a request until confirmed. Younger children’s sleeping and supervision arrangements are agreed with you.
Discuss your Amboseli rooms →Diani · 10-day idea
The hotel lists family rooms with a queen bed, two studio beds in a separate area and two bathrooms. This is an option to discuss for the beach part of your trip.
Your quote confirms the room category, permitted occupancy and meal plan.
Ask about a Diani family room →Children aged 3–11 can qualify for 50% of the adult accommodation rate when sharing with parents, where the lodge’s child policy permits. Family rooms, extra beds and separate rooms may have different charges. We confirm each property’s conditions for your dates.
We can request a family room or rooms close to one another. Connecting doors and neighbouring rooms must be confirmed by the property; booking two standard rooms does not automatically guarantee either arrangement.
The child accommodation discount does not automatically halve the whole safari price. Your total family quote separately accounts for park fees, private transport, flights and optional activities. Nairobi and Naivasha stays are selected to fit your final room needs and budget.
Tell us each child’s age at the time of travel. There is no single age rule for every lodge and activity. We check room occupancy, property policies and activity restrictions before quoting, and adapt game-drive length to your family.
We can request a family room, a suitable larger tent, or separate rooms. Capacity, bedding and connecting doors must be confirmed with the property. Adjacent rooms are not automatically connecting, and availability is never assumed.
For these road-safari proposals, request a vehicle and driver-guide reserved for your party. Your written quote confirms the vehicle, seating, luggage and child-restraint arrangements. Boats, domestic flights and resort facilities may be shared.
Children’s rates vary by age, property, park and whether they share with adults. We quote your actual family configuration and explain accommodation, park fees, transport and optional activities separately. There is no blanket children-go-free promise.
A shorter route with more nights in one place can help. Road transfers still take much of a day on some routes. Tell us your preferred pace; we can compare fewer stops or separately priced flights where practical.
Only if your proposal specifically includes them. Minimum ages, supervision, operating conditions and availability vary. We check these with each provider and list any extra costs before you book.
