A little quieter. A little closer to nature.

Choose Your Kenya Conservancy Safari

Imagine watching wildlife with fewer vehicles around you and more time to enjoy the moment. If a quieter safari appeals to you, a carefully chosen conservancy stay could be a lovely fit. Explore Ol Pejeta, Lewa, Loisaba and the Mara conservancies with our Nairobi team, and choose the setting, camp and pace that feel right for you.

Some conservancies limit guest numbers or vehicles at sightings to help protect the experience and the wildlife. Crowding varies by location, season and sighting; your choice of camp matters.

Choose your conservancy region

Conservancies are not one uniform safari product. Accommodation, land management, entry rules and permitted activities vary. Choose a named place and property, then check exactly what your stay includes.

Where does Borana fit?

Borana lies on the northern slopes of Mount Kenya and connects with Lewa as part of the Lewa–Borana landscape. Its conservation work includes rhino protection, habitat management and local livelihoods. A connected wildlife landscape does not mean that every lodge booking gives unrestricted guest access across it. Ask us to confirm your property’s arrangements. How many conservancies should you visit?

Our planning suggestion is to choose one northern base for a short stay, rather than treating Ol Pejeta, Lewa and Loisaba as neighbouring stops on a quick loop. They are distinct destinations. For a longer holiday, compare one northern stay with a Mara stay, allowing realistic transfer time between them.

A practical starting itinerary

Our 3-day Ol Pejeta and Sweetwaters safari is an existing package you can review now. Lewa, Loisaba and conservancy combinations are tailored enquiries: we confirm accommodation availability, activities and a dated price before presenting them as a bookable itinerary.

For a wider road circuit, compare our 10-day Kenya safari. It includes Ol Pejeta; Lewa and Loisaba are not automatically part of that package.

Before you book: your written PMK proposal confirms the accommodation, access, activities, fees and transfers. Sightings and specialist activities depend on conditions and availability. No conservancy stay or conservation benefit is guaranteed by a destination name alone.
