Lewa Conservancy Safaris: Lodges, Wildlife & Planning

Plan a Lewa stay around the lodge, wildlife experience and conservation interests that matter to you. PMK will help you compare available arrangements and build a dated proposal.

Why consider Lewa?

Lewa’s visitor information highlights black and white rhinos, Grevy’s zebras, elephants and other wildlife. Accommodation listed by Lewa includes Lewa Safari Camp, Kifaru House, Lewa House, Lewa Wilderness and Sirikoi. These are properties to compare, not confirmed inclusions in a PMK package.

Conservation experiences need planning

Lewa lists behind-the-scenes experiences such as tracker-dog and conservation-education visits. These are available to guests staying at lodges on Lewa and Borana, with booking and availability conditions. Reserve your accommodation first and express interest early; a general visit does not automatically include these experiences. Check Lewa’s activity guidance.

Lewa or Ol Pejeta?

Planning choiceWhere to begin
A defined short road safariReview our existing 3-day Ol Pejeta package, including its named camp and daily plan.
A Lewa lodge stayTell us your preferred property and nights. We confirm the lodge’s game-drive and transfer arrangements.
Conservation learningName the experience you want; we check eligibility, slots and any additional charge.

Lewa and Ol Pejeta are different destinations. A booking at one does not include entry or activities at the other.

Choosing your lodge

Share whether you prefer a tented camp, a smaller house-style property or a more luxurious stay. We will compare named room categories, meal plans and the actual activities offered. Tell us about children’s ages or mobility needs early so the property can confirm suitability.

Getting there and how long to stay

As a planning starting point, consider two or three nights, then adjust for your arrival time and priorities. We can compare road and domestic flight arrangements in your proposal. Confirm the arrival airstrip, lodge transfer, baggage allowance and whether game drives use a private or shared vehicle before booking flights.

PMK does not book your international flights. We can help you plan the safari around your independently booked arrival and departure times.

What your quote should include

  • Named lodge, room category, dates and number of nights.
  • Meals, drinks and conservancy charges included in the rate.
  • Vehicle, guiding and airstrip or road transfers.
  • Each requested conservation experience and any extra charge.
  • Payment, cancellation and property-substitution arrangements.

Combine Lewa with another destination

Tell us if you want to add Ol Pejeta, Samburu or the Mara. We will check the transfer plan and available nights before recommending a combination. Avoid adding stops simply to lengthen the destination list.

Before you book: your written PMK proposal confirms the accommodation, access, activities, fees and transfers. Sightings and specialist activities depend on conditions and availability. No conservancy stay or conservation benefit is guaranteed by a destination name alone.
