Day 1 — Nairobi to Mount Kenya

Day 1

Your guide meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel for lunch. After settling in, you head to the foothills of Mount Kenya — Africa's second-highest peak — and begin your ascent toward Lake Ellis Camp at approximately 3,500m. The trail winds through dense montane forest and moorland, offering stunning views and a taste of Kenya's wilderness beyond the savannah.

Day 2 — Mount Kenya to Samburu National Reserve

Day 2

After breakfast at camp, you descend from the mountain and make your way north to Samburu National Reserve. The reserve is famous for its "Samburu Special Five": the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich, and Gerenuk. Morning and afternoon game drives along the Ewaso Ng'iro River give you maximum time with the wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush.

Day 5 — Full Day at Aberdare National Park

Day 5

Spend a full day in the Aberdares soaking in the high-altitude forest environment. Watch the waterhole from The Ark's viewing decks as animals visit at dawn, then venture out for game drives through the park's misty moorlands and waterfalls. Look out for Black Leopard, Giant Forest Hog, Cape Buffalo, and dozens of bird species found only in this highland forest ecosystem.
